Hi, I have get repeated beeps when I install 2gigs of extra ram on m
2/4 ram slots.

I'm running and Aspire E380 and it seems I need to update my BIOS but
can't find any information on the internet regarding how to do this

Hi.

Here's a link to the Acer download page for the bios flash file.

However flashing a bios can do as much harm as it can do good an
should be regarded as a final potential solution.

Within the zip file there is a .pdf explaining how to proceed wit
flashing the bios.

Star troubleshooting the RAM modules one by one trying each module ou
in each socket to either rule out a faulty module or a faulty socket o
the motherboard.

Also make sure to check the technical specification of the deskto
model making sure that the new ram isn't working on a too high frequenc
for the motherboard.

Already did this, each socket works fine. Its just a problem if it goe
over 2 regardless of new/old card.

I even tried same 4 old ram cards using my friend's computer but i
still gave same results

Actually I flashed the bios and it still doesn't work. how bout tha

I've never flashed a bios before, and I'd rather not risk it. Is ther
another solution you would recommend that is safer
